Hey there! My name is Tasmia Nishat (thuss-me-ah, “th” as in thistle) , or Smia for short. I’m a writer, healer, and a coach.
I started Nerd4Healing after undergoing a pretty intense healing journey, and gleaning insights I wanted to share. I had “rock bottomed” after and getting caught up in emotionally abusive relationships and work environments, and having the things I was sourcing my validation from not pan out.
I also went through three break-ups in a row with emotionally unavailable people (both platonic and romantic). After the third one ended in an intense betrayal, I had the opportunity to look at the underlying patterns and where my programming had led me to these kinds of relationships in the first place.
I was able to excavate my foundations and find an even more resilient self-worth, self-compassion, and self-love than I have ever known before. I am thankful for everything I’ve learned while getting here (although, “here” is an illusion!) And I believe it’s a responsibility for those who have gotten on the other side to pass on their insights to others.
My approach combines mysticism, traditional psychology, theta healing, Asian modalities, attachment theory, belief repatterning, and more. The lens I take in my work is that everyone has experienced trauma in one form or another–and that everyone has what it takes to unplug and heal from this in order to live from their authentic blueprint.
